TaG Tuft Okanagan Camp -Gravel Gold
The weekend will emphasize fun and challenge, and opportunities to hang and chat with a guy who has done almost everything you can on a bike. He is joined by former Pro racer Ryan Anderson his regular co-coach. Svein and Ryan will share stories, tips and techniques and their passion for seeing “what’s out there”.
Svein Tuft Olympian & Adventurer
Svein Tuft
A Canadian Olympian, a Worlds Medalist and both 2 x National Road Champion and 11 x National Time Trial Champion.
Svein rode professionally between 2005 and 2019 He wore the Maglia Rose In the Giro D’Italia after the opening Team Time Trial with Orica Green Edge,he won a Tour de France TTT stage.
That’s stats and Palmares. What do we admire about Svein as a cyclist? His penchant for adventures, exploration and living out of the box. Not so easy to do as a Pro Tour Cyclist. Svein has always kept it real, and added spice to the order of cycling. He is remembered by peers for epic 200 km solo breakaways and solo adventure trips biking, hiking and “big walks” on the skis. Stories of Svein include a 4000km bike trip to Alaska as a teen ,with his dog in tow on a trailer and arriving at team training camp on his bike after camping, touring on his way.
These days? Svein offers epic gravel adventures and we are thrilled to partner with his Tuft Gravel Camps in the first TaG Tuft Okanagan Adventure in Penticton this September.
