TaG CYCLING YOUTH ELITE RACE TEAM

The team's mandate is to recruit, develop and mentor developing talents in cycling through a specifically targeted program with the goal of continuation in the sport at an elite level. TaG provides opportunities for young racers to compete at the highest levels of the sport as a pathway into professional cycling.

TaG Race Team was founded by 1996/2000 Cycling Olympian Lesley Tomlinson currently joined by 3 x Olympian and multi year DS Gordon Fraser as Director

“As a development cyclist we all need support, and it is not always easy to find in the short window we have to excel,” says Tomlinson. “I feel fortunate that I was able to get to high-level races early in my career. I think it made all the difference to where I ended up and ultimately competing on the World Stage. That is what we strive to provide for our team”

TaG Race Team has produced Provincial, National and World Champions and has alumni that went on to be contracted by professional teams including World Tour development teams.

TaG Cycling is a coaching company, proud to support riders at all levels. From Elite, age group to new riders.

    Nathan was riding a brilliant last stage of Tour de Beauce. In the winning break with 2km to go, Nathan went down hard into a guard rail. He will be in recovery for now and we hope to see him soon

    21 years old. Nathan is from a cycling family. He was youth provincial MTB champion and chased strava segments at 12 years old. Nathan is a no fuss. Don’t sweat the little things kinda guy. No luggage? Bike didnt show? start delayed? Lets get on with it..

  • 2024

    After an early season track focus, Campbell joined the team to race Tour de Bloom where he took the ITT stage win.

    Followed by BC Champion title in the ITT and 3rd place u23 ITT at National Championships

    4th Place u23 National Time Trial Championships.

    19 years old . Campbell is new to the team for 2024. The 2022 Junior National TT Champ brings in key talent for the race against the clock

  • 2024 has been Manus debut year as a top contender .He came in fighting and has now a list of enviable accomplishments this year. Srarting Redlands Classic and Tour of the Gila as one of the teams top finishers. Manu finished 6th place u23 in Tour of the Gila as a promising start.

    Then he took it up a notch or 2. Winning the overall young riders jersey at Tour de Bloom in WA.

    His most impressive race of the season was his ride at Nationals in the Pro mens RR. Making the early breakaway, it was a 184km effort to be there for the end.

    Manu finished 5th U23 and 8th overall in the race !

  • 2024

    3rd Place in the Pro Mens Criterium at Nationals after a gutsy solo bridge late in the race.

    Reid came right in to the season from Knee surgery. A 12th place finish in the final stage of Redlands Bicycle Classic showed he is ready for next steps this season

    Reid is developing fast as one of Canada’s top u23 performers.

    Braden is 22 years old. A former triathlete, Braden has come into road cycling as a strong contender. 2022 Braden won a bronze at Canada Summer Games

  • 2024

    Showing great promise a a rider right out of junior. One of our top finishers at Tour of the Gila with a 3rd place podium finish in the last stage.

    Tour de Beauce Sasha was in the final breakaway with a flashy 3rd place finish in Stage 5.

    19 years old. Sasha is new to the team and brings a light hearted confidence to the squad.

  • Sam is first year out of junior at 19 and calls Quebec home. A promising talent particularly in ITT

    Sam was riding well at Tour of the Gila and suffered a crash that has put him on the sidelines for now.

  • 20 years old. from Vancouver, Canada Marc is another product of Devo development. He has a good finish sprint and has shown some great development in his first year at the big races

  • 2024

    Junior National Champion in the ITT!

    Sidney has crushed it this season. Her debut performance in Europe in the Nationals Cup brought home the young riders jersey and an amazing 5th place overall in the race.

    Sidney had a busy spring that brought a national title on the track and a handful of podium finishes on the road.

    An impressive debut as such a young rider at Redlands Bicycle Classic, Sidney has gone on to Nations Cups in Europe with the National Team.

    17 years old ,Sidney is a first year junior in 2024 with already enviable showings in the junior ranks from pre junior years.

    2023 finishes included Top 10 in both the Road Race and ITT at National Championships.

    She made her debut for TaG in the Whistler Grand Fondo finishing in 2nd place and securing the win for the womens team.

    2nd PLace in the Junior Nationals ITT

    Larissa raced well with the Junior National Team in Europe. She has been selected to go to Track Worlds

  • A former XC Ski racer and triahlete. Ashton is a new u23 fro Alberta

  • Maddi is full of fun but extremely professional. She has represented Canada the past 2 years in CX racing. From BC, Maddi is excited to debut at Redlands Classic with TaG

  • We are excited that Jenaya is riding with TaG in her NA pursuits.She as been on fire in her racing to date. From Alberta, she blasted into the North American circuit this year with a 2nd place podium in the final stage at Redlands Bicycle Classic and 6th place overall in GC

    Based in Europe, Jenaya will be seen next in North America racing with us in Quebec at National Championships.
