Maggie Coles-Lyster
Starting in Mallorca, Spain. Maggie will hit the velodrome with only 72 of the planet's best track cyclists invited t this 5 event showcase of the worlds best endurance and sprint track cyclists at the UCI Track Champions League. Televised to millions, Maggie is one of the 5 stars that Canada chose to represent our best of the best.
Years of hard work and a huge network of supporters are behind any great success story.
I want to share this with each of you that stepped up to help Maggie on her pathway to greatness.
TaG Race Team Alumni 2016-2019. You saw her through her junior years and becoming a junior World Champion .
Maggie braved the pandemic years as a new U23 cyclist and has now eclipsed past records and standards in 2022 for a senior woman. At 23 years old,the first Canadian ever to win National titles as Road/Crit and Omnium Champion...all in the same year!
As a development program, this is what TaG Cycling Race Team strives for. To enable potential champions to become just that by having the racing opportunities and support that isnt always readily available until years have slipped by. When a rider launches to the pro ranks, as have a few of our men as well...TaG has done the job. Maggie is a racer who supports her supporters like a champion
A special coach...Maggie helped us through the pandemic by coaching classes and filming free cycling and yoga videos for our YouTube channel to help keep our riders motivated and fit waiting for our studios to open. We even had the unique experience of Maggie having to "time out" from her live stream class at home, because Drug Testing showed up at her door for a random out of competition test. Now THAT'S not an experience you get with many..any.. cycling studios !!.
Maggie is sporting the TaG Cycling logo for us in front of the world this month in Mallorca,Paris,Berlin and London.
So thank you all for helping us help her get there.
