TaG Cycling Outdoor Covid Safety Plan  
 
The following addresses concerns that may arise with TaG Cycling Group rides or outdoor classes and the potential risks associated in relation to Covid -19 virus 
All TaG Cycling members are to have read and understood the guidelines below 

1.1          PROXIMITY RISKS

Ensuring TaG Cycling members are provided with all opportunities to keep a safe 2m distance from each other

  • All members must maintain a distance of  2 meters in Outdoor meeting areas; before and after the ride or class –  exceptions will be members of a “family bubble” 
  • All members must remain 3 meters physical distance during the ride or class , as measured seat to seat
  • Meeting locations for the start of all group rides will be spaced out from other groups, in a location large enough so riders in each riding group (max 10 per grouping area ) can socially distance
  • Meeting location times may be spaced 10 minutes apart to ensure groups has ample space from other TaG club groups riding a similar route 
  • At any time if a member can not maintain physical distance  the member should wear a mask ( it is recommended that all members carry a mask with them ) 

1.2          CONTACT RISKS

Ensuring TaG Cycling Members reduce the risk of potential spread

  • Members are not to share any food, drink or other equipment
  • Practice enhanced hygiene, including regular cleaning of hands and equipment
  • In situations where riders must stop to provide assistance, it is recommended that they follow provincial health standards and wear a mask .
  • Members are not required to wear masks while riding

1.3          GROUP RISKS

Ensuring TaG Members can safely ride in groups together

  • Riding Groups are to have no more than 10 riders
  • All members must pre-register on the TaG Schedule 
  • All members must have agreed to the   TaG Cycling Waiver on their TaG account (amended with Covid-19 Rider Declaration Jan 1,  2021)
  • Any member who is not registered on the TaG Schedule can not ride in a group
  • Group rides should always be single file unless it is completely safe to ride two-abreast while maintaining 3 meters distance, and not endangering group riders, other vehicles, or any other people/obstacles

1.4          ILLNESS RISKS

Members must not to ride if any of the following apply

  • Anyone who has had symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Symptoms include fever, chills, new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, or loss of smell 
  • Anyone directed by Public Health to self-isolate
  • Any person who lives in a home with or has been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid 19 in the past 14 days
  • Any person who has arrived in British Columbia from outside of Canada within the last 14 days as they are mandated to self-isolate  upon their arrival
  • Any TaG member who believes they may have symptoms of Covid after attending a ride or class should email operationsdirector@nulltagcycling.com so we can identify any potential contact risks to other members of TaG Cycling

1.5          COMMUNICATION PLAN

How will TaG Cycling communicate news and updates to our member community

  • Members will have access to this document on the tagcycling.com website
  • Members should contact tagcycling.com if they have any questions, concerns or recommendations
  • As any changes occur that need to be communicated, we will post immediately on the tagcycling.com website under the TaG Club tab –

1.6          OUTBREAK ACTION PLAN

In the situation where one of our members tests positive for Covid-19

  • Any member who believes they may have Covid-19 should email operationsdirector@nulltagcycling.com immediately
  • TaG Cycling will use the TaG registration schedule to identify all rides that the member would have ridden in
    TaG Cycling will contact each member who may have been in contact with this member, asking them to pay attention to potential symptoms and to self-isolate for 14 days
  • All information regarding both the member who was identified to potentially have Covid-19, and all members who may have been in contact, will remain private)
